What do we do?

English Language Home Tuition provides personal English lessons combined with a comfortable place to stay for visiting students. Established for five years, students from around the globe have benefited from our friendly and effective teaching. We specialise in providing fun effective placements to teenagers aged fifteen and older. All ages will be considered so if you like what we offer, please get in touch no matter how old you are.

Many of my pupils are students with respected language schools in the UK and abroad. In particular I've offered placements to pupils on courses with Home Language International (Monaco), L.E.C. (France), STC (Switzerland) and English Language Home Stays (UK).  

As my student you will live and learn in the comfort of my family home. Occasionally I may conduct lessons in the Brighton city centre to advance your conversational and practical language skills in a cosmopolitan situation. In essence you will experience interactive learning. I offer language tuition above and beyond what is available from a traditional language school. You will be treated as part of my family and be able to learn throughout the day, spending much more time together with your teacher than a few hours of scheduled classes. The learning never stops even if the lesson has.

The teaching package

I currently offer two main teaching packages of personal tuition and I am happy to adapt either option on request.  

Option one: 
15 hours per week tuition 
You will receive a morning three hour lesson, with a break, every weekday Monday to Friday. The weekday afternoons and all weekend are unstructured for activities and excursions of your choice.

Option two:
20 hours per week tuition
You can choose from a four hour lesson, with breaks, in the morning or a two hour lesson in the morning followed by a two hour lesson in the afternoon every weekday Monday to Friday. Either lesson format leaves all the weekend unstructured for activities and excursions of your choice.  

Whichever option you choose, the following applies:

• You will always be personally tutored, I only accept one student at any time for a placement.

• Teaching may take place in the afternoon if the daily lesson is to be conducted in the city.

• All outside lessons are dependant on suitable weather. 

• Students cover own costs for entrance fees relating to activities and excursions. 

• Students cover own costs for transport, including local bus fares.

• On occasion the timetable will vary, due notice and consultation will be given in advance.

• Accommodation includes access to the family house and your own bedroom.

• Laundry and three meals a day are included. 

• You will have access to a computer, satellite TV and telephone. 

I can collect and deliver you to and from any London airport (Gatwick, Heathrow and Stanstead), ferry terminal (Newhaven and Dover) and from Eurostar station (Waterloo or Ashford).
